About the role
- Generates revenue growth by utilizing a consultative selling approach
- Manages existing business relationships to achieve budgeted sales goals
- Handles customer cancellation requests
- Provides ongoing education of contract details to existing customers
- Obtains customer contract commitments during face-to-face interactions
- Resolves escalations for customer service within the defined territory
- Develops detailed proposals encompassing multiple services
- Researches aspects of the waste and environmental services business
- Attends conferences/symposiums as a means of networking
- Builds trusting relationships and provides high-impact communication
- Matches WM services with customer needs; demonstrates knowledge of customers, pricing and competition
- Proposes customer solutions that are compliant with appropriate local, state and federal regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree
- High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience.
- 1 year of relevant work experience in direct and phone-based business-to-business prospecting
