About the role
- Serve as the senior technical owner for Windows-based web platforms, ensuring availability, performance, scalability, and security of enterprise web services.
- Administer, configure, and support Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) across development, test, and production environments.
- Lead architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management of web servers and supporting components on Windows Server platforms.
- Partner with application development teams to support application onboarding, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Design and implement high-availability and disaster recovery strategies for web platforms, including load balancing and failover.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex web, OS, and infrastructure issues.
- Implement and maintain security controls for web environments, including TLS/SSL, authentication methods, patching, hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
- Drive platform standardization, automation, and modernization initiatives to reduce technical debt and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures for web platform administration.
- Support change management processes, including planning, testing, and execution of platform upgrades and maintenance activities.
- Monitor system health and performance using enterprise monitoring tools; proactively identify and remediate risks and capacity constraints.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Windows Server environment and provide guidance to junior administrators and engineering partners.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, and cloud teams to ensure seamless integration across the enterprise environment.
- Participate in on call rotations and provide escalation level support for critical incidents as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Computer Science, MIS or similar area of study or in lieu of degree
- High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience.
- 5 years of prior work experience (in addition to education requirement).
