About the role
- Own full cycle accounting activities including general ledger, journal entries, accruals, and month end close
- Prepare financial statements, perform variance analysis, and analyze complex financial data
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and maintain effective internal controls
- Partner with finance and business stakeholders while operating independently in a fast-paced environment
- Prepares highly complex journal entries on a monthly basis
- Analyzes general ledger accounts for accuracy and accrual accounts
- Collects and analyzes financial data and prepares monthly combined financial statements and reports
- Assists with the preparation of year-end closings and annual long-term and short-term financial statements
- Provides expertise and guidance to other Finance personnel
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Accounting or similar
- 5 years of accounting experience, including 3 years in a mid to senior level accounting role
- Required experience in a mid-to-large company
- Direct ownership of full cycle accounting and corporate financial reporting
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail
