About the role

  • Engage, direct, and manage consultants and contractors performing work at organic waste processing facilities
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with local WM operations staff
  • Support staff training and development of SOP’s
  • Manage organics construction projects from overseeing the preparation of construction plans to final project close-out
  • Actively develop, manage and track capital budgets for engineering and construction projects
  • Provide continuous evaluation of sites for adherence to construction and permit documents
  • Collaborate with other professionals and subject matter experts
  • Participate in review of acquisitions and coordination and evaluation of divestitures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar area of study
  • 5 years of Knowledge and experience in both design and field work
  • Developing engineering documentation (such as layouts, P&ID's, operations plans, etc.)
  • Project management, focusing on scheduling, budgeting, risk management, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with wastewater, biosolids or similar waste treatment processes
  • Proficient in MS Suite and MS Project, CADD, Bluebeam, and ProCore
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of time
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate/interact professionally with a variety of audiences
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • In depth knowledge of environmental regulations
  • Understanding of capital cost estimating and tracking, accounting processes and P&L statements.
