About the role

  • Lead daily operations of centralized dispatch center, overseeing 25 dispatchers and 2 supervisors serving internal drivers.
  • Proficiency in dispatch software, routing systems, and transportation management systems (TMS).
  • Location: Based in Baldwin Park, CA — supporting teams across Southern California.
  • Travel: Occasional travel required to WM sites throughout the Southern California region.
  • II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day operations of centralized dispatch.
  • Recruits, selects, hires and ensures training of dispatch employees.
  • This role will have oversight of 25 dispatchers and 2 supervisors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience.
  • Two years of supervisory or management experience (in addition to education requirement).
  • Proficiency using computer applications to record, analyze, and report information
  • Work experience resolving human resource and labor relations issues.
