💰 $75,000 - $80,000 per year
About the role
- Serve as first point of contact and trusted advisor for employee relations and HR policies for assigned business units/functions
- Support hiring and onboarding: collaborate with recruiting on compensation proposals, participate in interviews, aid in new employee orientation
- Participate in employee development and performance management; support succession planning and talent reviews
- Participate in retention and engagement initiatives (e.g., Voice of the Employee Survey), analyze HR insights and recommend action plans
- Assist with offboarding including separation notices and documentation
- Own HR data management lifecycle and work to improve HR data systems
- Provide coaching and counseling to employees and managers on policies, procedures, and employment laws
- Plan and coordinate HR activities, engaging appropriate stakeholders
- Partner with Centers of Expertise to consult on HR initiatives and programs
- Assist on HR projects and provide regular and ad-hoc reports to leadership
- Identify and escalate potential legal, risk, and safety concerns to HR Manager
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar area of study OR High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant work experience
- 2 years of related work experience (in addition to education requirement)
- Certified Human Recourses Professional (CHRP) (preferred)
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) (preferred)
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer focused approach
- Strong employee relations skills and ability to connect with employees at all levels
- Solutions-oriented problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to navigate complex environments
- Comfortable with high volume work in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions with imperfect information
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to embrace and lead change
- Must have, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID or TSA approved alternative (may require air travel or service of federal property)
