About the role

  • Expanding Withum's market position and achieving specific financial goals
  • Building key customer relationships and identifying business opportunities
  • Negotiating and closing business deals and maintaining knowledge of current market conditions
  • Working with Partner group, marketing, and other key staff to increase sales opportunities
  • Managing existing clients to ensure satisfaction

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of business development experience
  • Thorough knowledge of the related market and competitors, and the solutions/services of the accounting industry
  • Familiarity or experience with Government Contracts
  • College degree or relevant/equivalent work experience. MBA or other advanced degree is a plus
  • Proven track record of successful business development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confidence interacting with clients and business partners, and ability to maintain professional composure in a challenging role
  • Proactive, results-oriented, self-starter
  • Ability to travel and to attend networking and other functions outside of normal business hours
