About the role
- Expanding Withum's market position and achieving specific financial goals
- Building key customer relationships and identifying business opportunities
- Negotiating and closing business deals and maintaining knowledge of current market conditions
- Working with Partner group, marketing, and other key staff to increase sales opportunities
- Managing existing clients to ensure satisfaction
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of business development experience
- Thorough knowledge of the related market and competitors, and the solutions/services of the accounting industry
- Familiarity or experience with Government Contracts
- College degree or relevant/equivalent work experience. MBA or other advanced degree is a plus
- Proven track record of successful business development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confidence interacting with clients and business partners, and ability to maintain professional composure in a challenging role
- Proactive, results-oriented, self-starter
- Ability to travel and to attend networking and other functions outside of normal business hours
