About the role
- Understand, analyze and improve the mechanical design of products in coordination with the Product Development Team in Paris.
- Design components, packaging, accessories and/or products using CAD, DFM, GD&T and product management tools.
- Lead technical discussions with suppliers and communicate clearly with the team; act as interface between suppliers and product development team in France.
- Anticipate, manage and solve manufacturing, assembly and quality problems on production lines and with component manufacturers.
- Help setup and ramp-up production lines during NPI stages in cooperation with contract manufacturers.
- Analyze data from production lines and optimize mass production efficiency and cost.
- Design production line jigs and tools to assist with product assembly, testing and validation.
Requirements
- You graduated with a bachelor BSc or master MSc in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Ideally, you have experience with consumer electronics and/or packaging mechanical design, assembly and validation.
- Ideally, you have experience in manufacturing processes and plastic injection.
- Experience with CAD (Onshape, Solidworks, …) and Office Pack (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, …)
- You are a passionate individual with strong problem solving skills and an autonomous mindset.
- Fluency in English (written & spoken) is required.
- Fluency in Chinese Mandarin is a strong plus.
- Fluency in French is a plus.
