Backend Engineer

• Maintain and optimize installations of MariaDB across multiple environments, to include architecture, design, installation support, configuration, and maintenance
• Configure and maintain database replication within and across multiple sites to ensure performance and high availability
• Collaborate with ServiceNow administrators to ensure full alignment and optimal utilization of the database by the ServiceNow application.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and Business Analysts to translate business needs into technical specifications and lead technical workshops to review design, architecture, and configuration approaches.
• Provide technical leadership and ensure compliance by guiding junior developers or project teams, participating in code reviews, maintaining version control, ensuring security/privacy compliance, and contributing to technical documentation.

MariaDB SME – Technical Architect

ServiceNow

• Design and implement ServiceNow solutions, including custom applications, workflows, forms, UI policies, business rules, and integrations.
• Develop and configure ServiceNow modules such as HAM, SAM, CMDB/CSDM, or custom scoped applications.
• Provide strategic, authoritative guidance to the client on HAM and SAM best practices.
• Implement, maintain, and customize Discovery within one or more restricted environments.
• Create and maintain client scripts, UI actions, script includes, scheduled jobs, and Flow Designer automations.
• Develop and maintain visualizations using dashboards, workspaces, and reports to enable users to enhance efficiency in their day-to-day operations.
• Ensure that solutions follow ServiceNow best practices, maintainability, and performance standards.
• Work with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Lead technical workshops to review design, architecture, and configuration approaches.
• Support end-to-end project delivery including sprint planning, testing, and deployment.
• Provide technical guidance to junior developers or project teams.
• Develop and support integrations using REST, SOAP, APIs, and IntegrationHub.

• Acquire ServiceNow ITSM Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification
• Engage with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements related to ServiceNow IT Service Management, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge.
• Support workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions to capture current-state and future-state processes and workflows.
• Create clear and well-structured documentation, including process flows, functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Translate business needs into actionable requirements that support ServiceNow configuration, workflow development, and automation.
• Collaborate with technical delivery teams to ensure requirements are accurately implemented and aligned with ServiceNow platform capabilities and best practices.
• Participate in Agile or hybrid delivery activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and review sessions.
• Support testing efforts by preparing and executing test cases, documenting results, and tracking defects through resolution.
• Assist with deployment readiness activities, including documentation, training materials, and release support.
• Provide day-to-day analytical support throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring solutions meet defined business and quality expectations.

• Support documentation of functional and non-functional requirements for ServiceNow implementations.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Partner with ServiceNow developers, architects, and platform owners to translate requirements into configuration, workflows, and automation.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and UAT cycles within an Agile or hybrid delivery framework.
