About the role
- Design, develop and improve Flowise application's backend by writing clean, efficient, and well-tested code for the server, APIs, and data models
- Improve backend services to enhance latency, stability, and test coverage across open-source, cloud, and enterprise versions
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to understand backend software requirements and implement effective solutions
- Actively participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
- Proactively identify and resolve issues within backend systems to ensure optimal functionality; ship customer value early and often
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js
- 2+ years of experience with PostgreSQL or other RDBMS, along with a solid understanding of database schema, modeling, object oriented programming
- Solid understanding of API design, backend systems architecture, and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
- Familiarity with building and operating software in cloud environments (AWS preferred) and an understanding of modern distributed systems
- Experience with Docker is a plus
- Successful track record of working effectively within fast-paced, cross-functional teams; clear communicator and collaborative spirit
- Resourceful and eager to tackle challenging problems; comfortable navigating ambiguity
