About the role
- Conduct needs assessments and discovery sessions to define clear learning objectives.
- Apply instructional design models and adult learning principles to craft effective learning experiences.
- Create instructional materials, including course outlines, learning objectives, facilitator guides, job aids, and interactive training activities.
- Collaborate with SMEs to source, validate, and refine content for accuracy and clarity.
- Provide consultative guidance to stakeholders on learning strategies, design decisions, and content effectiveness throughout the development process.
- Develop project plans, storyboards, and wireframes for e-learning modules and training videos.
- Design multimedia assets, including video, graphics, animations, and AI-narrated audio, using tools like Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Vids, and WellSaid Labs.
- Leverage generative AI tools for brainstorming, content drafting, and refinement.
- Build and publish interactive e-learning modules using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise 360.
- Design learning initiatives from concept through delivery, collaborating with business stakeholders to define objectives, manage timelines, and ensure solutions meet organizational needs and quality standards.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring training is effective and aligns with business priorities.
- Assist with facilitation of workshops or training sessions as needed.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Lead content review cycles, gather feedback, and manage approvals.
- Provide exceptional service and communication throughout the development lifecycle.
- Use Google Workspace, Jira, and other project management tools to document, track, and collaborate effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, Multimedia Production, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in e-learning development, multimedia production, and instructional design.
- A portfolio showcasing your instructional design work and e-learning samples is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated Proficiency with:
- - Video Production: Experience with video recording and production via video conferencing (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet).
- - Video Editing & Production Software: Google Vids, Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects.
- - AI Voice Generation: WellSaid Labs or Google Vids (or similar text-to-speech tools).
- - E-Learning Authoring Tools: Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise 360.
- - Generative AI Tools: Gemini, NotebookLM, ChatGPT (or similar).
- - Graphic Design Software: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
- - Google Workspace: Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive.
- Strong Foundation in:
- - Instructional Design Principles and Adult Learning Theories.
- - User Experience (UX) design for digital learning environments.
- - Knowledge of web and video accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, Section 508 compliance).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently.
- Outstanding customer service skills and a collaborative team player mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
