About the role
- WeTravel: vertical SaaS for multi-day travel businesses, managing payments and back-office operations
- Shape payment risk management strategy and implement short-term actions to protect user funds
- Lead Payment Risk & Fraud Management: identify risks, perform due diligence (KYC/KYB), escalate fraud incidents
- Lead Payment Operations: manage disputes/chargebacks, fund recovery, resolve PSP operational issues
- Manage in-house KYC/KYB and Payment Operations teams and tools (e.g., Persona, Stripe Radar)
- Build dashboards and SOPs, update Prohibited Businesses list, coordinate with Product/Engineering/COO/CEO
- Manage annual filing of 1099K forms and provide compliance documents to PSPs
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in payment risks/operations or fraud management
- Experience working for or closely with PSPs (payment service providers)
- Experience with both US and non-US markets
- 'Owner' mentality and obsession with fighting fraud
- Proven team leadership and communication skills; experience managing teams of 10+ and two direct reports
- Knowledge of travel industry is a plus
- Comfortable creating structures and frameworks to resolve ambiguous situations
- Willingness to be available for urgent escalations outside typical hours when needed
