About the role

  • Provide direction, oversight, support, and maintenance for the Global Manufacturing Facilities: CFFF, Vasteras, Springfields, Western Zirconium, and Blairsville NSC, HuP, CAP, OBS, SA, BM, OE, and Trending programs, reports, and tools
  • Support maintenance and update of NSC, HuP, CAP, OBS, Self-assessment, Benchmarking, OE, and Trending program processes, procedures, reports, and tools
  • Support NSC surveys, analyze results, work with organizations to develop and implement action plans to develop a NSC
  • Collaborate with leaders to strengthen an approach for the NSC, HuP, CAP, Observations, Self-assessment, Benchmark, OE, and Trending Programs to meet business and operational goals
  • Guide the implementation and monitoring of the Human Performance (HuP) program, encouraging new attitudes and new ways of thinking to strengthen error-prevention
  • Promote the HuP tools to support event investigation and learning with appropriate management; and other HuP tools
  • Ensure agreement on Issue Review Committee (IRC) and the Corrective Action Review Board (CARB) to identify issues and trends
  • Assist/partner with site organization in implementing site self-assessments and benchmarks
  • Share best practices for successful NSC and HuP and influence organizational leaders to provide proactive support
  • Analyze and trend Corrective Action Program (CAP) issues, observations and HuP Error data for HuP precursors/gaps and recommend actions to reverse negative trends
  • Attend industry conferences to ensure applicable programs stay current and benchmarking is conducted to obtain and implement best practices
  • Oversight and support will include site visit at least once per quarter and other potential emergent needs
  • Support and participate in the global NSC Champion/HuP meeting and facilitate quarterly Nuclear Safety Culture Monitoring Panel(s) (NSCMP)
  • Develop and deliver specialized training programs to help leaders strengthen expected behaviors within their workgroups
  • Facilitate a quarterly HuP Observation and Corrective Action Program Trend Report and Self-assessment, Benchmark and Operating Experience Report
  • Support site NSC, HuP, CAP, Observation, Self-Assessments, Benchmarking, and Operating Experience assessments and plans

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of applicable experience required
  • 10 or more years of experience preferred, with experience in leadership and working knowledge of Nuclear Safety Culture principles and Performance Improvement (PI) tools, programs, and processes
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement and Change Management required
  • Interface with, and gain commitment at all levels
  • Knowledge of IAEA, NRC and INPO guidelines and procedure required
