About the role
- Lead the assigned department and will collaborate with other professionals to ensure department and plant goals are achieved.
- Ensure nuclear and industrial safety culture permeates the work environment.
- Ensure customer requirements for product quality shipments are met.
- Plan and schedule operations within assigned responsibilities.
- Apply knowledge to production or equipment issues within department and Plant-wide to initiate proper corrective action.
- Determine task performance/skill requirements.
- Evaluate employee skill levels, focus training plans on deficiencies, and strengthen employee development.
- Develop employee relations with the workforce.
- Manage administrative processes for the area.
- Manage others, evaluate performance, Develop personnel to improve skillset.
Requirements
- High School diploma required.
- Two-year or four-year college degree, preferred, or related field experience.
- Minimum five years' experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in a union environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of industrial/manufacturing practices and uncompromising safety standards.
- Proficient use or knowledge of SAP.
