About the role
- Be the trusted advisor to the Vice President of Government and International Affairs and senior Westinghouse leaders
- Help develop and implement advocacy strategies for key our priorities requiring U.S. Government advocacy
- Ensure we are included and present in public policy debates affecting Westinghouse interests and businesses
- Work with Government Relations peers in a, collaborative team environment
- Help leverage Westinghouse's participation in outside business councils and trade associations
- Deliver communications (briefing memos, talking points) to company partners regarding policy developments that could affect the business, ensuring an opportunity to influence outcomes
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in government or private sector dealing with trade advocacy issues
- Expertise in dealing with high-profile partners such as elected officials, foreign government officials, executives, and a variety of external constituencies
- Experience with U.S. Government agency policy, including executive agency positions and procedures
- Knowledge of energy sector issues a plus
