Consultant

• Manages business continuity and provides oversight to disaster recovery of the company’s functions and day-to-day management.
• Leads Business Continuity function and consults on Disaster Recovery functions, ensuring that vision, goals and objectives are clearly set and implemented.
• Manages and coordinates the response to disruptions that affect more than one key company resource (e.g., people, property, technology) during a major incident or disaster event and may require the implementation of a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and documentation.
• Serves as subject matter expert for business continuity and disaster recovery practices at the enterprise level.
• Coordinates and consults in the development and maintenance of Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP) documents for all identified business units and ensures their approval.
• Builds and maintains working relationships and processes across all of IT, all business units and specific members of the executive leadership team.
• Oversees the planning and execution of annual recovery exercises, including meeting goals, schedules, organizational coordinators, supervises during the actual exercise, communicates to all parties internally and externally, and documents actual results and ensures that the recovery is well organized, efficient and successfully completed.
• Develops a comprehensive Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery exercise report that captures actual timelines of events, identifies gaps in recovery and opportunities for improvement.
• Manages and monitors the resolution of deficiencies identified during BCP design, testing and implementation and assists in testing all BIA compliant business critical processes systems, applications and data recovery plans.
• Maintains knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery principles and best practices through research, industry networking and conference attendance to share knowledge, trends and improvements across the organization.
