About the role
- Oversee a team of Material planners
- Take overall responsibility for Service metrics including OTIF(P) and Lead times to customers
- Manage inventory metrics including Days of Supply/Inventory Turns
- Take ownership of material planning issues
- Lead daily meetings to address potential late customer orders
- Create and implement production plans for high value processes
- Ensure production plans align with customer ship dates
- Design and implement capacity utilization models
- Act as liaison between Planning, manufacturing and customer success
- Ensure strategic and operational information is available to share
- Manage, coach and develop a high performing team
- Monitor production performance vs. plant and division goals
Requirements
- Bachelors in Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering
- 5 years of manufacturing experience preferred
- Extensive experience working with business enterprise systems like SAP or SFS
- High proficiency in MS Excel
- Superior communication, organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively to team members.
