About the role

  • Support the revenue accounting function in accordance with US GAAP, including day‑to‑day accounting for development agreements, customer rebate and overtime revenue recognition.
  • Support month‑end close activities including preparation and posting of revenue journals, project reconciliation and review of revenue numbers.
  • Support compliance with company policies, US GAAP, local GAAP, internal controls and SOX requirements related to revenue.
  • Support monthly and quarterly reporting requirements and assist with internal and external audit requests.
  • Liaise with Global Technical Accounting, Customer Success, Contract Management and Accounts receivable teams to ensure revenue completeness and accuracy.
  • Reconcile and ensure timely resolution of unbilled AR and deferred revenue balances.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and FP&A on revenue forecasting.
  • Interact with Controllership, FP&A, Corporate Accounting and other teams as needed to support closing and reporting cycles.
  • Support standardization and process‑improvement initiatives across Global Business Solution.
  • Support system initiatives including SAP S/4HANA deployment, adoption of automation/AI tools and streamline close‑related system processes.
  • Perform ad‑hoc analysis and tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum 3+ years of professional experience with a minimum of 1 year of experience at Senior level.
  • Understanding of ASC 606 Revenue Recognition Standard
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Proficient in SAP or similar ERP
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Experience of BI tools an advantage
  • Excellent communication i.e. ability to communicate and work effectively with a wide range of region, division and corporate functions
  • Able to manage multiple priorities effectively, while managing ambiguity and adapting to changing business needs and priorities
  • Project management, meeting facilitation, written/oral communication and presentation skills
  • Accounting professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CA, CIMA, CPA etc.) is required.
