About the role
- Plans, organizes, and implements the clinical education component of the master's degree program in Speech-Language Pathology in accordance with the accreditation standards and requirements
- Researches and develops an approved clinical education curriculum to meet degree requirements
- Trains academic faculty, clinical educators, and preceptors to provide an innovative clinical education curriculum during clinical intensive experiences
- Holds period meetings with clinical educators and preceptors to coordinate clinical experiences requirements and skill development for students
Requirements
- Graduate degree with an emphasis in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders is required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Must have licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of residence.
- Minimum five years of clinical supervision of speech-language pathology students at a clinical site or in higher education.
- Minimum of five years in the field of speech-language pathology, including documented clinical practice.
- At least one year of experience in a full-time academic appointment with teaching responsibilities at the post-secondary level.
