About the role

  • Serve as a key partner with leadership to shape and execute the overall mission and vision of the Wellstar Population Health, Care Coordination and Wellstar Clinical Partners Divisions
  • Mentor and develop the analyst team to support innovation, optimize data-driven decision making and provide key insights
  • Ensure that the clinical teams have the tools and knowledge to effectively manage the health of the targeted populations by delivering timely, actionable and accurate information
  • Develop a cohesive reporting strategy to support the data, analytics and scorecards functions for all value based programs
  • Mine and analyze data from internal databases and external sources to drive optimization and improvement of product development and marketing techniques
  • Work directly with the AVP Population Management to build and manage the budget for Population Health Management
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive population health analytics strategic plan that aligns to system plans for data transformation and clinical integration
  • Manage and mentor the analytical, strategic and project management resources within Population Health Management

Requirements

  • Masters Business Administration/Management or Masters Computer and Information Science
  • Minimum 8 years experience in healthcare provider setting
  • Minimum 4 years leadership experience in managing multiple, cross-function teams and projects
  • Extensive experience in adopting and utilizing data and analytics tool and platforms to build program strategies
  • Experience working with third-party consultants and technology firms to support strategic objectives and operations
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the changing healthcare environment, especially as it relates to population health and value-based care arrangements
  • Comprehensive understanding of enterprise information systems and relevant external data sources with the ability to develop reporting packages that promote data driven decision making
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 365 products, especially Excel, Power Platform and PowerPoint
  • Advanced SQL, Visual Basic and Tableau experience preferred
  • Familiar with machine learning, AI, predictive models and other data science concepts
