About the role

  • Individual contributor and technical expert developing pricing applications for Rates business (US Treasury, STRIPS, TIPS)
  • Engage product and business stakeholders to analyze complex business requirements and translate into technical specifications
  • Engage other technical teams and outside vendors to provide technical interfaces, estimates, and deliverables
  • Design and redesign complex computer platforms and applications
  • Maintain full project life-cycle: business and technical analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation plans
  • Coordinate implementation activities across functions and departments and deliver training as needed
  • Function as technical expert during cross-team collaboration and planning
  • Identify and resolve technology roadblocks across code, build, deployment, and manage SDLC and security standards
  • Monitor systems to increase operational efficiency and mitigate risk
  • Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications, system components, tools, models, simulations, and analytics
  • Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues
  • Ensure compliance and risk management requirements are met and implement key risk initiatives
  • Partner with production support and platform engineering teams
  • Interact directly with third-party vendors and technology service providers

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 5+ years of experience with Java development
  • 3+ years experience in capital markets business and processes
  • Background in Rates pricing or understanding of Fixed Income securities (desired)
  • Working knowledge with tools required for regression test automation (desired)
  • Working knowledge on Agile best practices (desired)
  • Experience with middleware messaging technologies like Solace, Tibco RV, etc. (desired)
  • Experience with caching technologies such as Coherence, MongoDB, Redis, etc. (desired)
  • Experience with event processing technologies such as Apache Storm, Apache Flink, etc. (desired)
  • Must be eligible to work without Visa sponsorship (position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship)
