About the role
- Provide senior-level support for WOMS: incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and proactive system monitoring
- Maintain, enhance, and debug multi-tier web applications built on Java technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement system improvements and new features
- Create and maintain technical and operational documentation
- Develop and update end-user guides as needed
- Implement best practices and support procedures to ensure system availability, performance, and reliability
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior developers/support staff
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on Java/Spring MVC development and application support
- Proven experience troubleshooting production systems and performing root-cause analysis
- Hands-on experience with Apache Struts , JSP , HTML , and CSS
- Solid understanding of Hibernate or similar ORM frameworks
- Proficiency in MySQL and/or MariaDB , MS SQL Server
- Experience configuring and deploying on Apache/Tomcat servers
- Version control expertise (Git, GitHub/GitLab)
- Experience writing unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- .NET development background (Good to Have)
- Full-stack development experience with a strong backend focus (Good to Have)
- Exposure to AWS services (S3, EFS, SNS, Lambda, etc.) (Good to Have)
- Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline and deployment setup experience (Good to Have)
- Working knowledge of Red Hat Linux and shell scripting (Good to Have)
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) (Good to Have)
- Understanding of microservices architecture (Good to Have)
- Experience with logging/monitoring tools (ELK Stack, New Relic, Datadog) (Good to Have)
- Agile/Scrum development experience (Good to Have)
- Prior mentoring or leadership experience in a support or development team (Good to Have)
