About the role

  • Provide senior-level support for WOMS: incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and proactive system monitoring
  • Maintain, enhance, and debug multi-tier web applications built on Java technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement system improvements and new features
  • Create and maintain technical and operational documentation
  • Develop and update end-user guides as needed
  • Implement best practices and support procedures to ensure system availability, performance, and reliability
  • Ability to work independently and mentor junior developers/support staff

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on Java/Spring MVC development and application support
  • Proven experience troubleshooting production systems and performing root-cause analysis
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Struts , JSP , HTML , and CSS
  • Solid understanding of Hibernate or similar ORM frameworks
  • Proficiency in MySQL and/or MariaDB , MS SQL Server
  • Experience configuring and deploying on Apache/Tomcat servers
  • Version control expertise (Git, GitHub/GitLab)
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • .NET development background (Good to Have)
  • Full-stack development experience with a strong backend focus (Good to Have)
  • Exposure to AWS services (S3, EFS, SNS, Lambda, etc.) (Good to Have)
  • Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline and deployment setup experience (Good to Have)
  • Working knowledge of Red Hat Linux and shell scripting (Good to Have)
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) (Good to Have)
  • Understanding of microservices architecture (Good to Have)
  • Experience with logging/monitoring tools (ELK Stack, New Relic, Datadog) (Good to Have)
  • Agile/Scrum development experience (Good to Have)
  • Prior mentoring or leadership experience in a support or development team (Good to Have)
