About the role

Provide senior-level support for WOMS: incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and proactive system monitoring
Maintain, enhance, and debug multi-tier web applications built on Java technologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement system improvements and new features
Create and maintain technical and operational documentation
Develop and update end-user guides as needed
Implement best practices and support procedures to ensure system availability, performance, and reliability
Ability to work independently and mentor junior developers/support staff

5+ years of hands-on Java/Spring MVC development and application support
Proven experience troubleshooting production systems and performing root-cause analysis
Hands-on experience with Apache Struts , JSP , HTML , and CSS
Solid understanding of Hibernate or similar ORM frameworks
Proficiency in MySQL and/or MariaDB , MS SQL Server
Experience configuring and deploying on Apache/Tomcat servers
Version control expertise (Git, GitHub/GitLab)
Experience writing unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience
.NET development background (Good to Have)
Full-stack development experience with a strong backend focus (Good to Have)
Exposure to AWS services (S3, EFS, SNS, Lambda, etc.) (Good to Have)
Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline and deployment setup experience (Good to Have)
Working knowledge of Red Hat Linux and shell scripting (Good to Have)
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) (Good to Have)
Understanding of microservices architecture (Good to Have)
Experience with logging/monitoring tools (ELK Stack, New Relic, Datadog) (Good to Have)
Agile/Scrum development experience (Good to Have)
Prior mentoring or leadership experience in a support or development team (Good to Have)
