About the role
- Participate in structuring and executing transactions and supporting more senior staff with financial and credit analysis for assigned portfolio of loans within Financial Institutions
- Work with more senior staff to present recommendations for growing and maintaining a portfolio of profitable clients in FIG through proactive, strategic and consistent business development and client retention
- Responsible for developing presentation materials for client meetings and internal discussions; may take ownership of and lead follow-up items with a client after a call; sees items through to resolution to support broader deal team/organization.
- Perform or guide credit underwriting work of peers in accounting for all risk factors and providing risk rating recommendations
- Review and interpret credit policies and procedures and incorporate requirements into credit analysis, observations and lending recommendations
- Collaborate and consult with peers, internal partners and stakeholders, including clients
Requirements
- 6+ months of Corporate Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics
- 6+ months of financial services experience in portfolio management and/or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to thoroughly analyze credits on an independent basis with high attention to detail and accuracy and communicate findings in a concise manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills and an ability to effectively multi-task
- Motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
- Strong accounting knowledge
- An ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver results
- Experience with leading and contributing to project teams
