About the role
- Lead, manage, plan and oversee all activities for the channel and the customer universe to ensure company objectives are achieved
- Lead, coach and develop the Key Account and Key Account Trade Marketing teams across three countries
- Track and ensure target attainment, take budget responsibility and plan allocations/quotas
- Analyze and optimize customer-specific potential
- Monitor and manage customers' and the channel's sales development
- Participate in and lead DACH-wide projects
- Prepare sales, incentive/promotion and fixed-cost planning based on the company plan in cooperation with the Senior Director Professional Sales DACH
- Prepare and conduct conferences, meetings and workshops in collaboration with the Commercial and Trade Marketing teams
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with the channel's key customers
- Identify potential new customers and actively acquire them
- Plan, organize, execute and evaluate sales promotion activities
- Jointly manage top customers together with the Key Account Managers
- Forecast sales development and purchasing behaviour in the responsible channel
- P&L responsibility and derive appropriate measures to improve profitability
- Conduct annual performance reviews and other negotiations
- Implement global and national directives into customer activities that increase revenue and profit
Requirements
- Successfully completed degree in business administration/economics with at least 10 years' experience in sales within a consumer goods company
- At least 5 years' experience in Key Account B2B or retail
- Excellent knowledge of direct sales and B2B business, ideally experience in the Professional Hair sector
- Experience in Cross2Net optimization, value creation, trade-terms harmonization or similar projects is an advantage
- Proven track record in leading and developing high-performance teams, particularly in Key Account
- High willingness to travel (minimum 50%, including regular on-site presence at the headquarters in Darmstadt) and strong intercultural sensitivity
- Experience managing and leading complex projects
- Analytical mindset, numerical affinity, excellent communication and presentation skills, and strong negotiation ability
- Strong commercial thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to set priorities and act strategically
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Confident user of MS Office
