About the role

  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies
  • Work with District HR Manager and Store Managers on recruiting planning meetings
  • Lead recruiting and interviewing plans for open positions
  • Conduct regular follow-up with managers regarding recruiting plans
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need
  • Utilize Workday’s recruitment tools to post job openings and track candidate progress
  • Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess candidate qualifications
  • Post openings in online venues and communicate with managers and associates regularly
  • Attend career fairs for recruiting and develop working relationships with outside organizations
  • Schedule, plan, and implement new hire onboarding and orientation
  • Schedule, plan, and implement training plans for all newly hired associates

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or human resource related field desirable
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in management in a retail/restaurant/supermarket environment
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours when needed
