About the role
- Develop and execute recruiting strategies
- Work with District HR Manager and Store Managers on recruiting planning meetings
- Lead recruiting and interviewing plans for open positions
- Conduct regular follow-up with managers regarding recruiting plans
- Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need
- Utilize Workday’s recruitment tools to post job openings and track candidate progress
- Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess candidate qualifications
- Post openings in online venues and communicate with managers and associates regularly
- Attend career fairs for recruiting and develop working relationships with outside organizations
- Schedule, plan, and implement new hire onboarding and orientation
- Schedule, plan, and implement training plans for all newly hired associates
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or human resource related field desirable
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in management in a retail/restaurant/supermarket environment
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours when needed
