About the role

  • Own hydrological analysis, hydraulic modelling, and stormwater system design for infrastructure projects.
  • Lead rainfall–runoff modelling and watershed delineation using hydrology methods.
  • Develop and validate hydraulic models using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, or similar tools.
  • Perform floodplain mapping and identify flood-prone zones and system vulnerabilities.
  • Design efficient stormwater networks and prepare hydraulic calculations and design documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on infrastructure planning and climate-resilient development.
  • Produce hydrology and flood-risk reports, technical notes, and design submissions for clients.

Requirements

  • 3–12 years of experience in hydrology, stormwater modelling, drainage planning, or water resources engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering drainage and flood-risk solutions for infrastructure or urban projects.
  • Strong command of hydrology, hydraulics, and stormwater management principles.
  • Hands-on expertise with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, MIKE, or similar tools.
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS / QGIS for terrain analysis, watershed modelling, and flood mapping.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD / Civil 3D for drainage and infrastructure drawings.
  • Ability to interpret LiDAR-derived surfaces, DEMs, and survey data.
  • M.Tech / M.Sc in Hydrology, Water Resources, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
  • B.Tech in Civil Engineering with strong relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Formal certifications or training in hydrological/hydraulic modelling tools are a plus.
