About the role
- Support PV Solar projects, including observing field activities, updating equipment records, and focusing on operational performance and optimization of solar sites.
- Support wind project operational performance and optimization.
- Review and revise technical documentation and drawings.
- Perform ad hoc investigations of emergent equipment issues.
- Use available data to investigate performance or reliability issues within the solar and wind fleets.
- Provide general engineering support to PG-Renewables group
- Track ongoing tasks across sites and support engineers and supervisors
- Drive continuous improvement by researching emerging utility solar trends.
- Alternate between remote and office work as needed (hybrid setting)
- Travel to generation sites in remote locations in WI, MI, IA, or IL
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or HSED
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering degree with a graduation date after June 2026.
- Minimum GPA of 2.8
- Valid Driver's License
- Interest in Renewables, specifically PV Solar applications, including any course work or involvement within the field
- Experience working in a hybrid setting
- Sophomore standing or higher is preferred
