• Manage and lead a team of 2 specialists, providing guidance, support, and performance oversight to ensure effective collaboration and achievement of departmental goals
• Collaborate closely with the broader Bridgestone tax team to ensure alignment, share expertise, and contribute to company-wide tax strategies and initiatives
• Manage and oversee all corporate tax matters, including corporate income tax, VAT, and withholding taxes, ensuring full compliance with local and international regulations
• Lead the preparation, review, and filing of tax returns and related documentation across multiple jurisdictions
• Act as the main point of contact for tax authorities, external advisors, and auditors in different countries
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business, proactively advising management on risks and opportunities
• Provide tax support for business operations, including new market entries, restructuring, M&A transactions, and intercompany agreements
• Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations, including documentation, policies, and coordination with global teams
• Support tax provisioning and reporting under IFRS / local GAAP, in close collaboration with Finance and Accounting teams
• Identify and implement tax optimization opportunities aligned with the company’s growth strategy and risk appetite
• Lead or support tax audits and inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses
• Develop and improve tax processes, controls, and documentation, leveraging technology and automation where possible
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Payroll, and Operations teams to ensure tax considerations are embedded in business decisions
• Ensure appropriate tax governance, risk management, and internal controls in line with group policies
• Manage and coordinate external tax advisors and, where applicable, support or guide junior team members
• Manage the tax budget and monitor external advisor spend, ensuring cost-effective delivery of tax services
