About the role
- To ensure the seamless integration and performance monitoring of international roaming (IREG) testing and to maintain high service quality standards across roaming and core network services.
- Coordinate and execute IREG tests (voice, SMS, GPRS, CAMEL, VoLTE, LTE) with international roaming partners in compliance with GSMA standards.
- Validate and document test results, troubleshoot issues, and liaise with stakeholders for resolution.
- Report to vendors and suppliers and internal stakeholders on the progress of work and solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date records of roaming partners and test logs in the internal management system to follow progress and load.
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams (Core, PRD, VAS, IP, Analytics, NOC, SE) to inform about known issues during service deployments.
- Maintain technical documentation related to IREG test procedures, partner configurations, and quality benchmarks.
- Assist the manager with service request documentation and process overview.
- Be the point of contact to provide and guide NOC with instructions and the needed requirements for executing tests and setting up new service testing.
- Be responsible for handling and following up on Tasks, Events, Requests and Problems for all provided services.
- Participate in and perform various advanced technical tasks related to new or ongoing projects within the company to control network testing and service validation.
- Maintain service tests for customer setups (policies) and for SIM deployment based on incoming orders from internal teams.
- Assist the manager in training, supervising, and guiding NOC team members within the scope of the NOC team's responsibilities and duties for any service validation or network testing.
- To be accountable for own actions and decisions, as well as the quality and timely execution of duties in accordance with acceptable laws and regulations and company’s administrative orders.
- To be a communicative team member, helping colleagues within the competence and knowledge.
- To be an ambitious and self-motivated person in order to solve complex problems with the attitude of ‘’tasks to be done professional and on time’’.
Requirements
- Higher education in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field, it may be incomplete
- Solid understanding of GSM/UMTS/LTE architecture and protocols and familiarity with signaling protocols: MAP, CAP, Diameter, SS7, SIGTRAN
- Experience in a similar job position or years 2+ experience as NOC engineer
- Experience with IREG testing tools - an advantage
- Hands-on experience with international roaming operations and interconnects - an advantage
- Experience working in international environment
- Fluent in English both spoken and written
- Excellent social skills, which also includes focusing on the provision services and solution finding
