About the role

  • Work in a small team of test engineers to ensure the quality of e2e business processes using manual and automated testing methods
  • Developing Test Plans and Test Cases: design detailed test plans and write test cases based on product requirements and specifications
  • Conducting Manual Testing: perform manual testing to identify bugs and issues across different stages of the software development lifecycle
  • Implementing Automated Testing: create and maintain automated test scripts using test automation tools
  • Analyzing Test Results: review and analyze test outcomes, document defects, and work with development team for resolution
  • Collaborating with Development and QA Teams: work alongside developers and QA professionals to understand requirements and establish testing criteria
  • Executing Regression Testing: run regression tests to ensure new code doesn't affect existing functionality
  • Maintaining Test Environments: set up and manage test environments to simulate real-world conditions
  • Participating in Continuous Improvement: identify opportunities to enhance test processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Producing Test Documentation: document test processes, results, and issues
  • Planning of Test Data: identify test data requirements and ensure data is ready before testing starts

Requirements

  • Proven Experience in Testing: demonstrated experience in software testing, utilizing both manual and automated techniques
  • Test Automation Skills: proficiency in designing and implementing automated test scripts using popular test automation tools such as Jira, Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-solving Abilities: ability to systematically identify, analyze, and resolve defects and discrepancies
  • Technical Knowledge: solid understanding of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and testing best practices
  • Communication Skills: excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with development, QA teams, and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in English: fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Educational Background (nice-to-have): Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Experience with Specific Tools or Frameworks (nice-to-have): hands-on experience with Playwright
  • Industry Experience (nice-to-have): previous experience in the Telecommunications sector or similar industries
  • Location requirement: must live in or relocate to Latvia
