About the role

  • Be a part of Cellular core implementation team
  • Perform service/system testing, data collection, and optimization as required
  • Perform proactive monitoring of network elements’ KPI/alarms and conduct network performance analysis
  • Handle and analyze trouble tickets and provide solutions when necessary
  • Create and maintain network system documentation
  • Handle operational tasks and requests
  • Provide on-call 24 x 7 support on a rotating basis

Requirements

  • Complete familiarity with MNO/MVNO structure and flows for Voice, SMS and Data scenarios
  • Strong understanding of 3GPP standards across 2G/3G/4G and 5G including: Diameter/Radius, MAP & Camel, GTP / GTP-C, SIP / IMS, SMPP
  • Experience in analyzing network flows using raw data (traces/PCAP/etc.)
  • Understanding of roaming processes and procedures (IR.21, IREG / TADIG testing, familiarity with IPX operations)
  • Ability to design, scale and integrate a network element into a live network
  • Hands-on experience in integration between network elements (SCTP, SIP trunk, SMPP connection)
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting roaming interfaces (S6a, S10, S8, CAMEL, MAP)
  • At least 5 years of practical experience as a core engineer
  • Working understanding of APIs and basic scripting (Python or similar)
  • Familiarity with automated deployment tools such as Ansible, Terraform or K8s
  • Knowledge of OpenShift system administration and cloud technologies (AWS, VMware) - an advantage
  • Knowledge of IP switching and routing protocol - an advantage
