Own the monthly close process and support financial & regulatory reporting
Act as subject matter expert on complex accounting issues and provide solutions as appropriate
Serve as the go-to person for financial reporting and monthly close presentations, including preparing variance analyses and commentary on financial results
Perform complex analysis and articulate the financial & regulatory implications
Identify and implement process improvements and automation within the accounting function to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Support new initiatives and new product launches
Manage relationships with various internal and external stakeholders and be the first touchpoint for issues and resolutions
Participate in year-end audits and other audits, preparing supporting workpapers and promptly addressing questions
Assist with ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned
Requirements
3-5 years of full cycle accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA designation or equivalent experience
Advanced knowledge of accounting principles
Experience with applications and ERP systems, including Oracle, NetSuite, Excel, Word, Preset, and Google Suite
Sound judgment with ability to manage conflicting priorities and provide advisory support
Natural curiosity and investigative mindset to identify and resolve discrepancies

Strong problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent communication skills with ability to connect across all organizational levels
Ability to learn quickly, work under pressure, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Work experience in a CIRO (Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization) member firm (asset)
