About the role
- Track and report on product usage metrics, including but not limited to engagement, feature adoption, and completion rates.
- Support the definition, tracking, and reporting of success metrics tied to product goals.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in product data and translate them into clear takeaways for decision-makers.
- Design actionable reports and dashboards to support roadmap prioritization.
- Maintain clear metric definitions and a consistent event taxonomy, incorporating role-based segmentation and academic seasonality to improve accuracy and interpretation.
- Partner with Engineering to ensure accurate instrumentation and consistent event naming.
- Ensure product data and dashboards are understandable and usable by non-technical stakeholders.
- Document metric definitions and usage standards to support consistent analysis.
- Coordinate surveys, interviews, research logistics, and feedback collection.
- Organize research artifacts, tag themes, and support synthesis of findings.
- Help write research briefs or executive summaries based on interviews, feedback sessions, or usability studies.
- Monitor competitor feature rollouts, positioning shifts, and pricing changes.
- Maintain a centralized knowledge base of market intelligence.
- Provide comparative analysis that informs product and go-to-market decisions.
- Track emerging EdTech trends, LMS ecosystems, and interoperability standards.
- Help Product Management and UX document requirements, structured user stories, and key technical dependencies.
- Maintain organized and well-tagged feedback logs.
- Summarize insights in recurring cross-functional feedback reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, EdTech, Product Management, related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in product analytics, research operations, or product operations, preferably in the EdTech space.
- Strong ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
- Ability to work cross-functionally without formal authority.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Notion, Salesforce, FullStory, Smartsheet, Power BI, and/or Chameleon.
- Exposure to product discovery methods or outcome-driven development.
- Experience working in EdTech organizations.
- Working knowledge of FERPA, COPPA, and PII-safe data practices.
- Understanding of LMS ecosystems and EdTech interoperability, including LTI, Clever, and ClassLink.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience supporting educators, students, or school-based environments is a plus.
