Data Engineer

• Create the conceptual, logical and physical data models.
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of sources like Hadoop, Spark, AWS Lambda, etc.
• Lead and/or mentor a small team of data engineers.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve data integration pipelines.
• Develop pipeline objects using Apache Spark / Pyspark / Python or Scala.
• Design and develop data pipeline architectures using Hadoop, Spark and related AWS Services.
• Load and performance test data pipelines built using the above-mentioned technologies.
• Communicate effectively with client leadership and business stakeholders.
• Participate in proposal and/or SOW development

Senior Data Engineer

• Provide top-quality solution design and implementation for clients.
• Provide support in defining the scope and the estimating of proposed solutions.
• Engage with our clients to understand their strategic objectives.
• Responsible for translating business requirements into technology solutions.
• Work with the client and engagement leaders to define a project plan to meet delivery expectations.
• Utilize Big Data technologies to architect and build a scalable data solution.
• Identify any gaps and work with the client to resolve in a timely manner.
• Stay current with technology trends in order to make useful recommendations to match the client requirements.
• Responsible for the design and execution of abstractions and integration patterns (APIs) to solve complex distributed computing problem.
• Participate in pre-sales activities, including proposal development, RFI/RFP response, shaping a solution from the client’s business problem.
• Mentor and coach a team of data engineers.
• Act as a thought leader in the industry by creating written collateral (white papers or POVs), participate in speaking events, create/participate in internal and external events (lunch ‘n learns, online speaking events, etc.)

Data Engineering Architect

Manager

• Manage client expectations with client executive leadership (IT and the business).
• Understand a client’s current business challenges and identify potential solutions in overcoming that business challenge leveraging data and/or analytics.
• Participate in the end-to-end business development lifecycle in selling additional work to existing clients (land and expand). In addition, participate in new sales opportunities for new clients. ·
• Participate in creating thought provoking proposals that will demonstrate Wavicle's niche experience in the data & analytics space.
• Ensure that project(s) are done on time, within budget and meet and/or achieve client expectations. ·
• Be hands-on as necessary. Due to the nature of our projects, it is important that an EM can play a role on a project (i.e. project manager, business analysis, etc.) if needed.
• Communicate with our leaders and team members in our various offices (U.S., Canada and India) to ensure project alignment·
• Meet annual sales revenue goals. ·
