About the role
- Define and implement enterprise analytics architecture strategies.
- Lead the design and optimization of enterprise data models and analytics patterns.
- Drive the development, standardization, and optimization of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable analytics solutions.
- Design, document, and catalog enterprise business data domains and definitions.
- Establish and govern best practices for enterprise reporting, performance optimization, and user access to analytics.
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate analytical and reporting needs into scalable analytics solutions.
- Guide the evaluation and adoption of modern analytics technologies.
- Mentor junior analytics team members on BI architecture and data modeling best practices.
- Perform responsibilities in alignment with Watts values of Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, and Transparency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent relevant work experience).
- Minimum of 14 years of experience in data and analytics architecture, with a strong emphasis on business intelligence, semantic modeling, and enterprise analytics solutions.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Power BI, including semantic models, DAX development, and performance tuning.
- Strong experience with ERP-centric data modeling and analytics, including SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP environments.
- Advanced knowledge of dimensional modeling techniques, including Kimball methodologies and star/snowflake schemas.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and analytical query optimization.
- Proven experience supporting analytics solutions in manufacturing or industrial business environments.
- Expertise in data modeling methodologies (Kimball and Inmon), data quality management, and metadata management.
- Working knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance frameworks.
- Proven success leading or contributing to large-scale data modernization initiatives or cloud-based analytics transformations.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving orientation and ability to navigate complex technical ecosystems.
