About the role

  • Coordinates purchasing, billing, and collection activities
  • Maintains statistics, records, or accruals
  • Assists in grant or budget preparation and payroll
  • Monitors and purchases office supplies and lab equipment
  • Facilitates price comparisons and maintains equipment inventory and asset records
  • Processes receiving of division purchase orders and approval of documents
  • Maintains division funds and accounts, assigns account numbers to orders ensuring compliance with granting agency guidelines
  • Prepares requisitions, check requests, petty cash reimbursements, reconciles monthly ledgers, and monitors open encumbrances
  • Processes payroll, changes of status, and attendance records for employees
  • Provides back-up coverage for clinical secretary and Division Administrator when needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience
  • Accounting/Bookkeeping (2 Years)
  • Some college-level accounting coursework
  • Skills: Accounting Methods, Accounting Reconciliation, Budget Preparation, Check Requests, Financial Systems, Grant Preparation, Office Equipment, Ordering Office Supplies, Payroll Processing, Petty Cash Management, Purchase Order Processing, Spreadsheets
