About the role

  • Assuring university-wide compliance with federal laws, agency regulations, and university policies
  • Interpreting complex research and regulatory issues
  • Assessing and mitigating risks
  • Developing appropriate policies, procedures, educational programs, information systems, monitoring programs, and reporting
  • Overseeing the activities of the university's Individual and Institutional Research Conflict of Interest (COI) programs
  • Allocating resources, including staff support for faculty committees
  • Assuring effective systems are in place for appropriate submission and review of disclosures
  • Directing investigations into compliance issues
  • Facilitating the development of university policies and procedures
  • Assuring timely and appropriate dissemination of information about policies and procedures to the research community
  • Developing, training, and monitoring the work of all program personnel
  • Directing the development and implementation of technology systems and tools to facilitate compliance
  • Representing WashU to federal agencies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 Years of Research Administration experience
  • 2 Years of Supervisory experience
  • No specific certification/professional license is required for this position
  • Not Applicable Driver's License
