About the role

  • Serves as collaborative business partner between the assigned Department and Human Resources (HR).
  • Provides guidance and direction regarding University HR policies, values, benefits, compensation, and applicable employment laws/regulations.
  • Works on a consultative basis with unit leadership to improve upon HR practices.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers and advises based on current HR best practices.
  • Provides employee relations support to the department in consultation with the employee relations team.
  • Assists with departmental investigations as applicable.
  • Develops and delivers an education and training program to managers.
  • Facilitates the employee on-boarding experience as part of a broader retention initiative.
  • Defines and implements diversity and inclusion initiatives that support the University goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in Human Resources, Recruitment, or Related.
