About the role
- The Staff Salesforce Developer/Architect is responsible for designing, developing and implementing scalable and robust custom Salesforce solutions that automate and enhance business processes
- Designs and develops Salesforce applications while ensuring best practices
- Oversees code quality, security standards and the performance of the application
- Influences decisions across other teams related to the solution architecture
- Mentors junior developers as required
- Maintains awareness and knowledge of all Salesforce releases and features, makes recommendations and implements them accordingly
- Provides production support and resolves issues quickly and efficiently
- Owns architectural and technical decisions that create a reliable and robust application
- Provides input into strategic direction of the applications
- Collaborates with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and dependencies and aligns business processes with development and feature design
- Creates key project documentation including technical design specifications and deployment plans
- Serves as a technical advisor to business stakeholders, business analysts and project managers
- Builds and maintains custom applications and integrations using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, APIs and other Salesforce technologies
- Completes all unit testing
- Actively participates in stakeholder meetings with the goal of understanding all major requirements to facilitate best-in-class feature designs
- Follows established coding standards
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience required architecting and developing Salesforce solutions
- Proven experience in designing complex applications
- Superior analytical skills
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
- Expertise with Lightning Web Components, Salesforce data modeling, security and sharing rules
- Expertise in configuring and designing Flows
- Expertise in designing and developing Integration Solutions using Web Services, REST and SOAP APIs
- Experience writing batch classes using the Bulk API
- Experience with enterprise-level applications and architecture
- Advanced SQL/SOQL
- Experience with Github and CI/CD scripting
- Platform Developer 1 Certification (Preferred)
- Platform App Builder Certification (Preferred)
- Certified Application Architect (Preferred)
