About the role
- Lead the preparation and review of technical drawings (Site Plans, Grading Plans, Utility Plans, Erosion Control Plans, and Stormwater Management Design) for permitting and construction.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate all phases of multiple projects, ensuring successful delivery from concept through construction.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams.
- Oversee and perform construction services, including site visits, shop drawing review, and coordination during construction.
- Prepare and review stormwater calculations and oversee the permitting process.
- Lead code research and analysis at the local, county, state, and federal levels for each project.
- Coordinate with Ware Malcomb consultants and client consultants to deliver complete, accurate, and well-coordinated contract documents.
- Mentor, train, and provide guidance to junior staff and support team members.
- Participate in and present at public meetings, design reviews, and jurisdictional approvals as required.
- Support project financial performance and client satisfaction.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience within the Civil Engineering field, with a focus on land/site development
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related program is required
- A PE (Professional Engineering) license is required
- Strong experience managing multiple projects and client relationships
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D required
- Strong knowledge of permitting processes and applicable codes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking
