About the role

  • Develop and engage a small team of 3 Multi Skilled Engineers
  • Drive the effectiveness of the engineering team in reducing downtime and increasing productivity
  • Ensure daily preventative maintenance activities are completed to a high standard
  • Resolve breakdowns quickly and efficiently to maximise plant reliability, performance, product quality and safety
  • Take the lead on more complex maintenance tasks
  • Ensure required parts are available for maintenance
  • Responsible for a detailed handover to the next shift team
  • Lead short interval control meetings with the production team

Requirements

  • Electrical and Mechanical engineering experience
  • Fault Finding and Route Cause Analysis skills
  • Knowledge and experience of maintenance preferably in an FMCG or manufacturing environment
  • H&S knowledge e.g., PUWER, IOSH – able to ensure a safe working environment
  • Structured and practical engineering training (e.g. apprenticeship/HNC/degree)
  • Coaching and mentoring skills, takes responsibility for the training and coaching of others
  • Analysing and problem-solving skills, anticipates problems before they occur and takes steps to deal with them/correctly and swiftly
  • Communication and relationship building skills
  • Must have or be eligible for the right to work in the UK
