About the role
- Lead the strategic development and ongoing management of client brands
- Build deep client partnerships through a strong understanding of business objectives, challenges, customers, competitors, and industry insights
- Translate business goals into strategic marketing initiatives that drive measurable results
- Develop and track KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and manage all client-related communications
- Present strategic recommendations and work confidently to senior client stakeholders
- Review and approve scopes of work that clearly define deliverables, timelines, and budgets
- Provide strategic leadership to ensure client brand objectives are achieved across all agency disciplines
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members through coaching, training, and performance feedback
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and growth-oriented team culture
- Manage internal teams to deliver work on time, on budget, and at a high standard of quality
- Conduct regular performance reviews and support professional development for direct reports
- Contribute to agency growth by identifying and supporting new business opportunities
- Participate in RFPs, pitches, and new business presentations
- Stay current on industry trends and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions
- Manage account financial health, including revenue projections, billing authorization, and budget oversight
- Partner with accounting to review aging reports and follow up on outstanding client payments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field
- 8 to 10 years of ad agency experience
- Experience managing direct reports
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Experience with brand strategy, market research, and competitive analysis
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working across all agency disciplines including creative, media, digital, analytics, and production
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and maintaining account profitability
- Growth-minded, innovative, and solutions-oriented approach to account leadership
- Self-starter with a strong desire to make an impact in a growing agency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
- Willingness to travel as needed
