Working as a Self-Checkout Attendant at Walmart Canada to develop retail skills and provide exceptional customer service
Assist customers processing transactions through the self-service area(s)
Keep the self-checkout area neat, clean and organized and free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids
Educate customers on the correct and efficient use of self-service options
Promote company sponsor programs (credit card service, product protection, charity initiatives) when applicable
Observe customers to determine when assistance is needed and perform interventions or quality checks, explaining reasons politely to reassure customers
Respond to EAS alarms and fill out the "Failure to Deactivate" Log
Call the Customer Service Manager when the self-service area is low on cash or has a technical issue
Return Scan & Go scanners to their home after use
