About the role
- Oversee construction budgets by reviewing preconstruction estimates, tracking reports, and approving payments and change orders.
- Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams on construction projects and design initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations by establishing standards, monitoring contractor performance, and resolving noncompliance issues.
- Manage complex construction projects, coordinating schedules, resolving conflicts, and representing the company with public officials.
- Collaborate with facility management to minimize operational impact and ensure timely project milestones.
- Monitor construction quality, material procurement, and issue resolution through project completion and warranty periods.
- Develop business strategies, analyze costs, and promote continuous improvement and talent development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field and 5 years’ experience in construction management, construction administration, engineering, architecture, or a related area OR 7 years’ experience in construction management, construction administration, engineering, architecture, or a related area.
- Extensive experience managing complex construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and contractor oversight.
- Proven leadership skills in guiding cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of construction compliance, quality management, and regulatory standards.
- Expertise in risk management and resolving project conflicts to ensure timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic business plans aligned with operational goals.
- Proficiency in coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to optimize project execution.
