About the role

  • Designing best-in-class AI shopping experiences with a high bar for craft, clarity, and usability.
  • Shaping agentic shopping journeys where AI proactively assists customers across discovery, decision-making, and purchase.
  • Designing experiences that span Walmart-owned surfaces and third-party AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini).
  • Partnering closely with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and UXR to translate AI capabilities into meaningful customer value.
  • Balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints in a rapidly evolving AI landscape.
  • Rapidly prototyping, testing, and iterating on concepts in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Degree in Digital Design, HCI, Information Architecture, or a related field, and 7+ years of experience in product design.
  • Experience designing complex systems, platforms, or AI-driven consumer products.
  • Experience designing within the evolving state of design and AI tools.
  • A fantastic portfolio demonstrating a high level of craft, systems thinking, interaction depth, and shipped impact.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
