About the role
- Own Tax, Reporting & Compliance.
- Lead product strategy for gig economy tax operations, including 1099 creation, filing, corrections, and distribution.
- Support systems that reconcile millions of transactions with a high degree of financial precision.
- Partner with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure accurate GL mapping and settlement.
- Own product strategy, roadmap, PRDs, and KPI frameworks for accounting, tax and reconciliation workflows.
Requirements
- Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 7 years’ experience in product management.
- Option 2: 9 years’ experience in product management or related area.
- Experience with gig economy platforms, disbursements, or contractor tax reporting.
- Background in financial systems, accounting, or enterprise reconciliation workflows.
- Familiarity with 1099, contractor earnings, and regulatory tax requirements.
- Skilled in discovery, requirements gathering, and partnering with legal and compliance teams.
