About the role
- Responsible for automating deployments, monitoring systems, and ensuring high availability and performance of applications and infrastructure.
- Responsible for coding, unit testing, building high performance and scalable applications that meet the demands of Walmart home office users across the world.
- Build and design automation tools, CI/CD pipelines & deployments in Cloud.
- Enable tools for improving developer and tester productivity.
- Develop and design software solutions for frontend and backend applications.
- Develop tools and framework to improve operational efficiency.
- Contribute to automated approaches to avoid manual KTLO and repeated tasks.
- Drive engineering-excellence and processes and standards within the team.
- Contribute in monitoring, troubleshooting and remediating issues in production.
- Identify gaps and issues and reduce costs for application platforms.
- Be a consummate team player with demonstrable ability to learn new tech stacks/tools with amazing ability to get stuff done.
- You are expected to be an intellectually curious engineer who is passionate about technology in general.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and system automation
- Experience on GitOps, DevOps with SDLC, CI/CD, config management and cloud engineering.
- Experience working with Jenkins and related build tools such as Maven, Gradle, Ant.
- Proficient in JavaScript and Python/GoLang and microservices.
- Experience working on mobile app build and deployments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Configuration Management and Deployment tools automation.
- Experience working on Docker & Kubernetes with Azure/GCP cloud platforms.
- Proficient in problem solving and working with large scale systems.
- Logging and Monitoring experience designing, deploying, and running systems like Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace or other APM solutions.
- Experience with server-side developments and building RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with AI developer tools (Agentic AI, MCP, LLMs) and a track record of adopting new technologies to improve engineering productivity.
- Excellent documentation, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multiple teams.
