💰 $170,000 - $210,000 per year

About the role

  • Lead the negotiation and execution of complex, small and large-scale contracts through initial review, analysis of proposals and interpretation of all terms & conditions while mitigating all legal risks.
  • Partner with the internal stakeholders at Waabi on Supplier and Third Party contracts including but not limited to: NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, DPAs.
  • Provide insight on industry and market standards for all clauses in commercial contracts.
  • Draft contracts from scratch as needed to support various Waabi development efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with Global Supply Chain on contract databases and contract processes for Waabi.
  • Own identifying and implementing process improvements & documentation.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) & member of a state bar.
  • In-house counsel experience.
  • 6+ years of experience with commercial contracts.
  • Experience in negotiating SaaS & Hardware development contracts.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to provide and recommended solution to internal stakeholders and leadership at Waabi.
  • Extremely Proficient in Google Workspace (formerly Google Suite).
  • Open-minded and collaborative team player with the willingness to help others.
  • Passionate about self-driving technologies, solving hard problems, and creating innovative solutions.
  • Bonus/nice to have:
  • Startup / Tech experience.
  • Employment Law experience.
  • Regulatory Experience.
  • Export Control / Trade Compliance Experience.
