About the role

  • Assist Senior Project Superintendent, Project Superintendent, Assistant Project Superintendent or other assigned supervisors in all matters related to field activities for a specific project
  • Assist with initial preparation and maintenance of schedules and eight-week look ahead schedules
  • Assist with development, maintenance and enforcement of project site safety programs and lead weekly On Site Safety Meetings
  • Coordinate and manage material deliveries and subcontractor activities
  • Implement SWPPP measures and documentation
  • Maintain a complete and accurate set of working documents pertaining to the project
  • Coordinate all field inspections and testing
  • Assist in implementation of project-specific QA/QC program and quality control measures
  • Provide field information affecting Monthly Reconciliation Report accuracy and forecasts
  • Document actions dealing with actual or possible claims/legal action
  • Oversee and manage laborer responsibilities; attend and document weekly Foreman meetings
  • Assist with timely completion of punch lists and work completion lists

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in and/or has received a Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 1-3 years minimum of relevant project field experience (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Project or P6 Scheduling Software
  • Familiarity with Project Management Software such as Prolog, Viewpoint, CMiC or equivalent applications
  • Possess knowledge of all documents associated with the project
  • Ability to assist in the development, maintenance and enforcement of project site safety programs
  • Ability to assist in coordination of material deliveries and field inspections/testing
  • Ability to implement SWPPP measures and documentation
  • Ability to assist in implementation of project specific QA/QC program
  • Ability to prepare and maintain schedules and eight-week look ahead schedules
  • Effective written and verbal language communication skills
  • Effective time management and organization skills
  • Takes initiative, strives for increased responsibility and has a desire to learn
  • Shows emotional maturity, punctuality and dependability
