About the role
- Monitor the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas
- Ensure proper security measures for the workplace
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities with production scheduling departments
- Evaluate incoming work order notifications
- Remain active on the floor including providing any “hands-on” trouble shooting and maintenance
- Conduct safety inspections of work areas
- Interface with vendors and suppliers as necessary
- Foster a positive work environment and drive the maintenance team to meet productivity targets
- Supervise contractors and vendors while performing work for the maintenance department
- Ensure maintenance team members are properly trained
- Collaborate with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facility's needs
- Manage the activities of an assigned team
- Other duties as deemed necessary
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two-year Technical Degree or 4-year Degree preferred
- 5 Years of progressive industrial maintenance
- 1-3 years of supervisor experience preferred
- Relevant experience in the consumer products, packaging & manufacturing or distribution industry is preferred
